5 displaced after house fire in west Phoenix

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A house fire in west Phoenix left five people displaced on Sunday.

Firefighters responded to a call around 1 pm for reports of an exterior debris fire next to a home near 63rd Avenue and Pierson Street.

As the crews arrived on the scene, the flames started spreading into the home.

Firefighters took an interior approach to stop the blaze and quickly gained control of the flames.

All of the residents were able to safely exit the home before the fire department arrived.

There were no reported injuries. Investigators are working to determine what caused the fire.
