Agilent Names Bret DiMarco Chief Legal Officer





Agilent Technologies (NYSE: A) announced the appointment of Bret DiMarco as its new Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, effective immediately. DiMarco will also serve as company secretary. He brings a wealth of experience from his previous positions, including Chief Legal Officer at Pendo.io and Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer at Coherent Inc., where he focused on legal, intellectual property and regulatory compliance issues in global trade. DiMarco also served as special counsel in Coherent’s merger with II-VI Incorporated and has corporate and securities law experience at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. He currently serves as chairman of the Nasdaq Stock Exchange Nominating Committee, and since 2004 he has been an adjunct professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of California, San Francisco.

SANTA CLARA, California–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Agilent Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: A) today announced that Bret DiMarco has been appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer and Secretary. He begins his new role with Agilent today.

Most recently, DiMarco served as Chief Legal Officer at Pendo.io, a leading global venture-backed Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company. Prior to joining Pendo.io, he was Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, and Corporate Secretary at Coherent Inc., a multinational corporation and one of the world’s largest laser manufacturers, where he was responsible for all legal affairs, the company’s intellectual property program, and global trade compliance. Following the sale and closing of the company’s merger with II-VI Incorporated, he served as Special Advisor to the company’s CEO during the initial transition period.

DiMarco was previously an associate and member of the international law firm of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where his practice focused on corporate and securities law, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions. DiMarco has also served on numerous Nasdaq boards and currently serves as chairman of the Nasdaq Nominating Committee. He was an adjunct professor at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, San Francisco since 2004.

DiMarco graduated from the University of Southern California School of Law and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California California, Irvine.
