Ireland Baldwin Shares First Look at Daughter Holland’s Face on Her First Mother’s Day: ‘It Changed My Life’

The young mother summed up her almost year of motherhood

Ireland Baldwin is celebrating her first Mother’s Day!

On Sunday, May 12, the 28-year-old entrepreneur — the daughter of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger — spent her first Mother’s Day with her 11-month-old daughter Holland and her boyfriend RAC (born André Allen Anjos).

The couple made a face to share photos of Holland for the first time, having previously shared photos of the little girl looking away from the camera or with her face covered by a sticker. The photo carousel shared to Instagram on Sunday, May 12, shows the mother and daughter lying down and laughing together in several photos.

“Thank you for making me a mom! You changed my life and everything I’ve ever known,” Ireland wrote in the caption. “I don’t know why I’m posting this because a) you can’t read yet and b) Instagram will probably be a distant memory by the time you can, but I’m so proud to have made you!!!”

In October, during an Instagram Q&A, Baldwin opened up about her transition into motherhood, answering a question about how she and Holland were coping.

“I’m not going to lie… there were times when I was so overwhelmed with all the changes… but overall, everything was beautiful,” Baldwin shared.

“She’s great to spend time with and knows everything,” the new mother enthused. “I’d say most of the stress I’ve been experiencing lately hasn’t really had anything to do with her. Being overly tired just makes everything worse.”

This past April, Baldwin celebrated Holland’s first Easter by sharing a snippet of their holiday celebration on Instagram Stories. The mother and daughter greeted various farm animals while posing outside. In one photo, Holland reached out to pet a horse from the safety of her mother’s arms.

In December, the proud mom shared some photos from her daughter’s first Christmas, while also opening up about her changing feelings about the holiday as a child of divorce who now has a baby.

In an Instagram post, Baldwin wrote that she treasured “the first opportunity to show her (her daughter) all the things I was looking for elsewhere.” She added: “What an honor to celebrate today with friends, chosen family, good food and a warm fire.”

“It’s impossible to ignore all the pain and suffering in our world and how much I wish every child was loved as much as my own. I hope everyone celebrating has a safe and cozy Christmas,” Baldwin continued.
