Former YSRCP MP Nandigam Suresh Babu’s brother arrested for sand mafia

After the formation of the new government in Andhra Pradesh, the illegal and criminal activities of the YCP leaders of the old government started coming to light one after another.

Recently, police arrested former Macharla Legislative Assembly member and YCP leader Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy for vandalising e-voting machines at the Palvai Gate polling station on election day.

Now, in a span of a few days, there has been another arrest. Former Bapatla MP and YCP leader, Nandigam Suresh’s brother Prabhu Das, has been arrested by AP police.

According to reports, Prabhu Das was arrested for illegally transporting sand in the state. Earlier this morning, around 3 am, the police caught a truck in which sand was being transported illegally at Uddandarayundipalem.

Thulluru SI Venu Gopal stopped driver Chenayya and seized the truck as well as the Scorpio behind it. After investigation, the police found that Prabhu Das was involved.

In this regard, Thulluru police have arrested him and are questioning him in this sand mafia case. More details about the case are expected to be revealed soon.

Meanwhile, Nandigam Suresh is yet to respond to this arrest. He lost in the last Lok Sabha elections to TDP candidate Tenneti Krishna Prasad.
