A 57-year-old Sebring woman who has been in custody for more than a decade is back in jail awaiting a Wednesday court hearing on charges of assaulting a police officer.

In addition to the assault charge, Stephanie Shack of Ohio Avenue was arrested last week on charges of interfering with public services, telephone harassment, disorderly conduct and trespassing.

The charges stem from four incidents last month, the most recent of which occurred on Wednesday.

Police went to Shack’s home after receiving a call from a person reporting that Shack was outside yelling the names of police officers.

According to the police report, Shack warned officers not to approach her as she sat on the porch.

As Shack was handcuffed and thrown into the police car, one officer said she bent his ring finger.

Shack is also accused of kicking a police officer at the police station.

In addition to the latest charges, Shack is awaiting trial in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court on charges of assault, obstructing official acts, resisting arrest, criminal trespass, intimidation and retaliation.

The charges stem from an indictment filed in connection with separate incidents that occurred in December of last year.

Shack remained in custody Monday on $10,000 bail.
