Hollywood comedian and Arrested Development actor dies, 1980s

Hollywood actor and musician Martin Mull has died at the age of 80 after a long battle with a mysterious illness.

The veteran actor rose to fame with roles in TV series such as “Arrested Development” and “Rosanne,” as well as the crime film “Clue.”

Mull’s daughter announced the actor’s death on Instagram on Thursday.

“I regret to inform you that on June 27, my father died at home after a brave battle with a long illness,” she said.

Mull, who has worked in Hollywood for over four decades, also starred in the TV series Veep, Two and a Half Men, as well as the cult film Sabrina the Teenage Witch, playing principal Willard Kraft.

He starred alongside Hollywood stars Robin Williams and Sally Field in the 1993 film Mrs. Doubtfire.

Devastated fans expressed their shock on Facebook.

“Rest in paradise, one of the greatest actors of my era,” one person wrote.

“I will always remember him as Leon on Roseanne and in the film Mr. Mom starring Michael Keaton,” said another

“I will always remember him as Leon, the only man who could give Roseanne blow for blow.”
