Sky Sports reported on Sunday late that United are now ‘serious’ about one target, with ‘talks’ ongoing

One fresh report on Sunday evening suggests Manchester United are ready to up the ante in their pursuit of Manuel Ugarte.

With Paris Saint-Germain already giving the green light to the midfielder’s potential departure this summer, the Red Devils need to get the machine in motion and reach an agreement in the coming weeks.

The “Reds” are counting on Ugarte’s arrival being approved as soon as possible

Conversations“Talks have already taken place between the clubs, but negotiations with the player himself will have to wait until he returns from Copa America; The 23-year-old is currently representing his native Uruguay at the tournament, where he played the full 90 minutes in both group stage matches.

Ugarte signed for the Parisians from Sporting Lisbon just last summer for a fee of £51.5m, signing a five-year contract after arriving at the Parc des Princes. It is believed that PSG would not be willing to take much – if any – of the amount they paid for him.
