Diplo speaks out after being accused of breaking “revenge porn” laws.

The 45-year-old DJ and producer, whose real name is Thomas Wesley Pentz, took to social media on Friday (June 28) to take part in a civil case in which he was accused of sharing sexually explicit video clips and photos of a former wizard . companion without her consent.

“Don’t believe what you read on the news,” Diplo wrote Instagram along with a slide carousel of photos and video clips featuring him. “I don’t own a $100 million mansion, I didn’t pay $450,000. euros for a party in Ibiza and I didn’t send dirty snapchats in 2017.”

He added: “Let’s talk about how lucky I am to party with you and how good the raves are here in Europe… (Athens, Croatia, Prague, Paris, wait).”

In a complaint filed Thursday (June 27) in Los Angeles County Superior Court, unnamed accuser Jane Doe alleged that the DJ/producer recorded their sexting experiences and shared those products with others on Snapchat “without plaintiff’s knowledge or consent.”

In her statement, the woman states that she had a consensual sexual relationship with Diplo from 2016 to 2023. During that time, she claims, she sometimes “gave defendant Diplo permission to record them having sex, but she never gave him permission to distribute those images and videos to third parties and reiterated that he was not to record them without her express consent.”

In a statement released Friday, Diplo’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, strongly denied the latest allegations, citing previous legal proceedings alleging abuse by the musician.

“Each time an allegation of misconduct was brought against Wes, the result was either an immediate dismissal of the bogus lawsuit accompanied by an apology, a court-ordered award for Wes of more than $1.2 million, or a slow defeat in an apparent breach attempt that led to nowhere,” Freedman said.

“At times, Wes has been targeted by a group of untrustworthy individuals and their unscrupulous lawyers, stringing together lies in search of a worthless payday. This suit seems to be more of the same, so we have no reason to believe it will end any differently than all the others.”
