York County woman charged with possessing numerous files containing child sexual abuse material

Attorney General Michelle Henry announced the arrest of a New Cumberland woman accused of possessing numerous files containing child sexual abuse material, including the abuse of very young children.

Victoria M. Carney, 27, was arrested and charged with 19 counts of possession of child pornography and one count of criminal use of a communication facility, all felonies.

Carney was arraigned and bail was set at $250,000.

“This proactive investigation into online file sharing allegedly uncovered a trove of disturbing files depicting very young children,” said Attorney General Henry. “My office is committed to finding the predators who lurk on online forums and seek to exploit our most vulnerable citizens, our children.”

The Child Predator Section of the Office of the Attorney General, acting on a tip, discovered lewd materials that were transmitted using the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). Agents tracked Carney’s activity.

Agents executed a search warrant at Carney’s home on Rose Hill Drive and seized electronic devices containing child sexual abuse material.
