Lisa Hogan swaps her Wellington boots for pink Chanel at the Irish Derby

It was a great weekend of racing and style at The Curragh, with many fashionable racing fans competing for the Dubai Duty Free Fashion prize on Sunday.

This year, Lisa Hogan, who many know from performing at Clarkson’s Farm alongside her partner Jeremy, was to serve as head judge and she looked every inch perfect in her pink outfit.

Lisa went bright pink with her racing outfit, wearing a Chanel jacket she’s had for many years and long cream pants that certainly wouldn’t last long on the farm!

Speaking to Curragh about her look, Lisa said: “The jacket is part of a Chanel suit but I bought it when I was quite young and I had the skirt shortened so now I just wear the jacket.”

Her long pants are from designer Serena Bute and her blouse is from Me + Em. As for the headpiece, Lisa spotted it on Instagram and knew she had to have it. She added that it was from a “local Cotswolds girl” called Nicola de Sellincourt.

When asked about being the head judge for the Irish Derby, Lisa joked that it was quite ironic as she “always wears wellies and jeans”, but that she was enjoying a day of racing and would be looking out for those who were showing off their confidence.

Ultimately, the title of Best Dressed went to Liz Maher from Bagenalstown in Carlow, who also won the Dubai Duty Free Most Stylish award.

She will now fly to Dubai for five nights, staying at the luxury Jumeirah Creekside Hotel. She will also receive €1,000 in spending money that she can use at the airport shop.

Liz’s outfit paid homage to Irish style – her headpiece was from Caithriona King Millinary in Galway and her costume was a fun ensemble she bought from Julie Caulfield in Kilmore Quay in Wexford.

For accessories, Liz wore pearls and earrings from her own collection, which she had been adding to “for many years,” as well as a handbag and shoes she had used before.
