Woman seriously injured in shooting on Hodge Road near Wendell

A woman was hospitalized with serious injuries Sunday night following a shooting near Wendell.

At approximately 10:40 p.m., Wake County Sheriff’s Office officers responded to the 7000 block of Hodge Road for a report of a shooting.

When they arrived, they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound.

She was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
