TORONTO — Aaron Judge hit a league-high 31st home run, Gerrit Cole pitched five innings for his first win of the season and the New York Yankees beat the Toronto Blue Jays 8-1 on Sunday to split the four-game series.

Derek Hill hit two home runs and Andrew Heaney (3-9) had 10 strikeouts in seven innings for the Rangers, who have lost the first three games of the Series and are nine games under .500. The defending World Series champions stayed on course Sunday, scoring runs in the second, fourth, fifth and eighth innings.

Langford tripled in the fourth, doubled in the fifth and singled in the sixth. The 22-year-old outfielder then hit a three-run homer to left field in the eighth minute to make it 11-2.
