Man arrested for breaking into old Monroe County water facility

A burglary suspect has been jailed.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday that deputies were called to the old water treatment plant on Boxankle Road in reference to a possible burglary.

Investigators arrived at the scene and saw that the suspect had fled the scene.

After investigation it was determined to be James Hickman of Forsyth.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office served an arrest warrant at Hickman’s home Thursday afternoon.

POPULAR STORIES:

Hickman was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary, theft by kidnapping and obstructing an officer.

He is being held in the Monroe County Jail without bond.
