Calvert County Fire-Rescue-EMS congratulates Firefighter Cody Davenport for national success

PRINCE FREDERICK, Maryland – Calvert County Fire-Rescue-EMS is pleased to congratulate Firefighter Cody Davenport, a dedicated Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department volunteer and Calvert Career and Technology Academy cadet, for his outstanding performance at the SkillsUSA National Competition held in Atlanta, Georgia last week. Cody competed in the highly competitive Firefighting Skills Competition and placed an impressive 6th in the nation.

SkillsUSA is a prestigious organization dedicated to empowering members to become world-class workers, leaders, and responsible American citizens. The national competition brings together the most talented students from across the country to compete in a variety of skill-based challenges, showcasing their expertise and dedication to their fields.

The leadership and members of the Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department, along with the Calvert Career and Technology Academy and the entire Calvert County Fire-Rescue-EMS community, are incredibly proud of Cody’s extraordinary accomplishment. His dedication, skill, and representation of both the department and Calvert County are truly commendable.
