International fugitive arrested in Santorini

A 47-year-old foreigner, wanted under a European Arrest Warrant for money laundering, was arrested early Monday morning on the island of Santorini.

Officers from the Thira Police Sub-Directorate detained the suspect at Santorini airport.

According to French authorities, the man is accused of managing illegal funds through a company he founded.

Greek police said the man will be brought before the Aegean Regional Appeal Prosecutor’s Office.
