10-Day Cultural Immersion for La Salle College Prep Students in Hawaii

La Salle Linguistic Exploration Center students recently embarked on a 10-day educational trip to Hawaii in partnership with the University of Hawaii at Manoa Chinese Flagship Program. The experience began with classes at the university, where students participated in interactive activities, ice-breakers, and a scavenger hunt.

They immersed themselves in in-depth cultural and historical workshops, toured the state capital of Honolulu, and focused on Chinatown through research presentations, gaining real-world insights into Chinese culture. Their journey through the bustling streets of Waikiki and visits to historic sites such as Pearl Harbor and Hawaii Plantation Village deepened their understanding of Hawaii’s rich history.

The trip concluded with reflection sessions, certificate distribution, a delicious Chinese Hotpot banquet and a breathtaking sunset on the Magic Island beach, marking an unforgettable journey of personal growth and lifelong memories. This enriching experience is just one of the ways we prepare our students to become global citizens, ready to navigate and appreciate the diversity of the world around them.
