Boy suffers minor injuries when motorcycle crashes into pickup truck on I-94

FARGO (KFGO) – A 17-year-old Fargo boy suffered minor injuries when the motorcycle he was riding slammed into the back of a pickup truck on Interstate-94 Monday morning.

Highway Patrol said the pickup truck and motorcycle were both traveling westbound in the left lane of the highway when the woman driving the pickup truck saw the motorcycle approaching at a high speed. As the woman tried to change lanes to let the motorcycle pass, the boy also changed lanes and hit the van from behind.

The young boy, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle into the ditch. The motorcycle finished its race in the central reservation.

The woman was not injured.

Highway Patrol said the boy’s name and possible criminal charges will not be released.
