Suspect arrested, charged with sexual assaults in Oakland, Pittsburgh, including one at gunpoint

OAKLAND — An ex-convict has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting two women he knew, one at gunpoint in Oakland in May and the other in Pittsburgh in 2022, according to court documents and information provided by authorities.

The suspect, 31-year-old Santiago Pratt of Oakland, remains under investigation in connection with the suspected sexual assault of a third woman in Oakland in May, authorities said.

Pratt, arrested June 19 in Berkeley, is charged with two counts of aggravated rape, one of which involves using a weapon. He is being held on $300,000 bond at Santa Rita Prison and is scheduled to appear at a July 9 guilty plea hearing.

A suspected sexual assault with a firearm occurred on May 27 in East Oakland, in the area of ​​85th Avenue and Olive Street.
