Fargo woman sentenced to 5 years probation for stealing $80K from employer

Fargo, North Dakota – A Fargo woman was sentenced to five years probation for theft after pleading guilty to stealing more than $80,000 from her employer.

Court documents show Kelly Tweiten transferred money from Dietrich Homes to her bank account while she was CFO.

Prosecutors say Tweiten wrote five checks to herself totaling more than $15,000, made purchases with her company credit card and used business accounts to pay bills before the owner saw them.

A separate hearing on damages will be scheduled for a later date.
