A 27-year-old Vallejo man suspected of a drive-by shooting in Vacaville last week is scheduled to appear in Solano County Superior Court on Tuesday.

According to unspecified court records, jail records and Omar David Molina’s case file, the hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.

According to Vacaville police, Mendoza was arrested and booked into the Solano County Jail shortly after 2 p.m. Friday on multiple felony charges: shooting into an inhabited dwelling, shooting into an unoccupied vehicle, discharging a firearm from a vehicle, carrying a loaded firearm in a public place, possession of a firearm by an unlawful person and possession of ammunition.

There were no injuries reported in the shooting, and officers were able to identify the suspect’s vehicle, which is believed to have left the scene just prior to officers’ arrival. Officers also believe the owner of the vehicle knew at least one person who lived in the home that was shot at.

When Mendoza was arrested, his vehicle was towed to be used as evidence, officers said.

The investigation is reportedly ongoing, and anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Detective Kaley Sullivan at (707) 469-4857.

Mendoza remains in the Solano County Jail, and bail has been set at $323,333.
