Little Boy Throws Tantrum Before Entering Race, But Ends Up Winning

It is normal for young children to throw tantrums during social gatherings. Moreover, not all children are enthusiastic about actively participating in sports activities. At such times, parents need to convince their children, as a little help from elders can work wonders. A 5-year-old boy was having a tantrum as the race he was supposed to participate in was about to start. The Wang Ang Sub-district Administrative Organization in Cha-uat District, Thailand, organized a sports event for children in June 2024.

The local sporting event featured a segment where children were supposed to sprint. The participants, dressed in orange, yellow and red jerseys, were all ready to run. Except for one boy who wouldn’t let go of his mother. He tried to hold on to his mother, cried bitterly and didn’t show enough interest at the beginning of the race. The video of the moment was shared on the organization’s Facebook page.

“The mother is very spiritual. A 5-year-old child participates in a running competition but cries for his mother and refuses to run, crying alone and clinging to his mother’s leg. Only two people participate in this program. In the end, the mother ran away from her child. Then the child ran after him and the result was 1st place,” reads the translated caption of the video. The child was crying his eyes out until his mother came up with an ingenious plan to start running away from him.

The kid didn’t think twice and rushed after her as soon as the whistle blew. He eventually landed in first place and won the gold medal against his only other opponent. In two other photos posted on the Facebook page, the kid is seen standing on the first place block after receiving the medal he deserved around his neck. Just like this mother’s last-minute tactic that helped her son win the race, a father decided to step in and help his son win a video game match in a similar story.

A user X, @DangoheartAnirecounted a salutary incident where he was stuck on a particular level of a game he was playing. At that point, his father noticed him and asked if he could try playing the game. Since it was a fighting video game, one would think that the father would have a strategy to win where his child could not. However, the father hilariously dropped down on the seat and started furiously mashing the buttons on the controller. This may not seem like a wise strategy to win a video game, but the father surprisingly managed to defeat the opponent in all three rounds.

Viewers loved him for his infectious energy and approach to the game. The video has been viewed over 4.2 million times and received 78,000 likes so far. The son, who was losing to his opponent playing as “Kazuya” in the game of “Tekken,” made a glorious comeback with the help of his seemingly distraught father. For the first few seconds, it’s unclear how he’s doing in the game. After what seems like an eternity of pressing random buttons on the controller, the game indicates that he’s emerged victorious by knocking out his opponent. The energized father stands up, pumps his fists in the air, and smiles as his gamer son can be heard celebrating his father’s victory.
