Billy Ray ‘Irritated’ by Firerose Amid Serious Abuse Accusations

Billy Ray Cyrus is happy to be rid of Firerose, but still finds the annulment process “a little annoying.”

The country singer, who filed for divorce on May 23 after less than a year of marriage, is “happy to be done” with the relationship and wants to put all the drama aside for now, according to a source familiar with the matter. PEOPLE.

They claimed that Billy wasn’t a fan of the whole situation and thought “it was all a scam,” but still felt lucky to have “figured it all out.”

Billy is currently “well supported, happy and doing well because he is with his close friends and has a great relationship with his daughter Noah.”

The latest revelations come after Firerose, whose real name is Johanna Rose Hodges, made serious accusations of psychological abuse against Billy.

She said Page Six that her estranged partner had “very strict rules” that included restricting contact with friends and relatives, visiting them at home and monitoring her communications.

“If I had to send a text message, I had to read it to him to get permission. It was the same with email. I didn’t have a car. I could only go to a local chiropractor and get my nails done once a month. It was systematic isolation and I couldn’t find the courage to leave,” she told the outlet.
