Logan County Sheriff’s Office Investigates Serious Accident

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – The Logan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash that left people injured.

The sheriff’s office responded to a call around 1 a.m. Monday about a crash with injuries on U.S. Highway 68-80 East near Pool Road.

According to the release, officers identified the vehicle as a 2003 Buick Rendezvous driven by 24-year-old Alex C. Wilson of Russellville.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Wilson was driving a vehicle westbound on US Highway 68-80. The vehicle left the roadway off the left shoulder, crossed the median, overturned and collided with a stone wall. The cause of the crash is unknown.

Wilson was extricated from the vehicle by Logan County EMS and Auburn Rural Fire Department rescuers.

Wilson suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.

The accident is under investigation.
