Man with ‘severe intellectual disability’ who sexually assaulted sleeping woman given suspended sentence

A severely mentally disabled man who was a victim of a blackout binge and carried out a “horrific” sexual attack on a sleeping woman has been given a five-year suspended prison sentence.

The accused, a 20-year-old whose identity has not been revealed, was warned that he must remain under psychological supervision and be sober for eight years.
