Tesla Cybertruck capsized in first-ever crash

A Tesla Cybertruck overturned in a crash in Vicksburg, Mississippi, in one of the first accidents involving the Cybertruck.

As more and more Cybertrucks appear on the roads, accidents are becoming more frequent.

Tesla’s recent Cybertruck recall confirmed that there are now more than 11,000 units of the model on U.S. roads.

We reported on a completely destroyed Cybertruck that was put up for auction last month. It must have been involved in a serious accident.

What makes this particular Cybertruck crash interesting is that it flipped upside down in the impact, and Tesla vehicles are notoriously difficult to flip.

The accident occurred on June 29 in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Vicksburg Daily News shared a video showing the aftermath of the incident:

There were four people in the Cybertruck at the time of the accident, they suffered only minor injuries.

Tesla cars are particularly difficult to tip over due to the large battery located on the bottom, which keeps the center of gravity lower than in combustion engine vehicles.

In some cases, crash testers were unable to even flip Tesla vehicles, even though the tests were designed specifically for this purpose.

However, to be fair, in this case it appears that it was the surroundings of the crash site that caused the plane to capsize.

Details of the accident are not known, but it appears that the Cybertruck driver did not leave the road and, as you can see, the earthen wall on the left side looks like a perfect ramp on which to flip the vehicle.

When Tesla crashes happen, blame is often placed on the brand’s Autopilot and autonomous driving features. However, that’s not possible in this case because Tesla hasn’t yet implemented those features in the Cybertruck.
