Louisville man arrested on gun, drug charges

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A man was arrested Monday on weapons and drug possession charges, according to post from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office.

Officers said that during a traffic stop as part of a narcotics investigation at approximately 3:45 p.m. near Joe Prather Highway and Vineland Park Place in Vine Grove, Michael Hardy of Louisville was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued out of Pulaski County, Kentucky.

According to the post, police and detectives searched Hardy’s car and found what appeared to be 1.5 pounds of methamphetamine and pills.

Shortly after the arrest, Hardin County and Kentucky State Police detectives executed a search warrant at the Louisville residence and found multiple long guns, handguns, over a pound of methamphetamine, over $44,000, multiple hydrocodone pills, suspected fentanyl pills and more identified controlled substance pills. Officers said marijuana, cocaine and other drug-related items were also seized from the residence.

Hardy is currently being held at the Hardin County Detention Center.

The search warrant yielded numerous firearms, handguns, over one pound of methamphetamine, over $44,000 in U.S. currency, a large quantity of hydrocodone pills, suspected fentanyl pills, and additional pills containing controlled substances.(Hardin County Sheriff)
