USF Students, Your Favorite Meal Might Be Off-Campus – The Oracle

USF Students, Your Favorite Meal Might Be Off-Campus – The Oracle

It’s time to forget about campus food and try some of the best restaurants near USF. ORACLE PHOTO/LIA MARSEE

While there are many dining options on campus, these options can become repetitive.

In my case, my opinions were limited to the Marshall Student Center or Cooper Hall Subway restaurants. I knew it was time to leave campus for lunch when the lady at Subway memorized my name and order.

If you don’t have a lot of money to spend on food, it may be time to diversify your diet and try out off-campus restaurants.

As a food lover, I find that the best places around campus are those that offer a variety of study spaces, interesting beverages, and delicious food.

Here are some of my favorite places to eat around campus.

Quick Boba Cafe

If you need a moment of solitude or are looking for a nice place to meet up with friends, then Quickly Boba Cafe is the perfect place for you.

Their food selection consists of a mix of boba and various Vietnamese dishes and desserts. They have a collection of rice bowls with your choice of protein and two additional vegetables, as well as appetizers and desserts like the Mochi Waffle.

Boba prices start at $5, while bowl prices typically range from $10 to $15.

The special feature of this place is the wide selection of card and board games offered here, which can be played alone or with friends.

If you plan on having dinner here, I recommend the Popcorn Chicken Bowl and the Oolong Milk Tea.

Rain of Berries

In the same square as Quickly Boba Cafe you will find Raining Berries.

This place is perfect if you want to eat healthy, crave fruit, or are looking for a place to study with friends.

We have a delicious selection of coffees, smoothie bowls and grab-and-go snacks like sandwiches and even my favourite avocado toast.

Coffees start at $5, with bowls and sandwiches costing $10 to $15.

Raining Berries also offers a large study room equipped with a TV and Wi-Fi, so you and your friends can reach the academic level you desire.

Besides the avocado toast, when I come here, I order the matcha-infused Paradise Bowl and an iced caramel latte.

Accurate

The closest to campus, just a four-minute drive, is Felicitous.

When you enter you will feel like you are on vacation in a small town. Their menu consists of various drinks and sandwiches pressed with very unique names.

Most of them bizarre The drink is “Merlin’s Elixir”, which is naturally colored blue by the butterfly pea flower tea used there.

Coffee and tea prices range from $3 to $7, and sandwiches and baked goods range from $4 to $7.

Inside you will also find a small boutique, and on the second Friday of every month you can visit the occasional market outside.

Equipped with a large outdoor area, I find this place especially soothing when the cool wind blows. A hot coffee and a good book are the perfect day for me.

My favorites are the “Chocolate Rose” latte and the “Study Break” sandwich.
