Aaron Judge has a chance to hit 60+ home runs again after historic first half

The bookmakers have made it clear: Aaron Judge has a good chance of hitting 60+ home runs again.

The Yankees wide receiver is priced at +230 at FanDuel Sportsbook to reach 60 long balls for the second time in his career this season.

Judge also has a slim chance of breaking his own American League record of 62 home runs, which he set in 2022.

FanDuel odds predict he will be +430 to hit 63 or more big balls.

Judge is looking to build on his strong first half of the season as the calendar turns to July.

In May, Judge was named AL Player of the Month after slashing .361/.479/.918 with 14 home runs, 12 doubles and 27 RBI.

He followed that up with an arguably even better June, with 11 home runs and 37 RBIs and a .409/.514/.864 average that almost certainly earned him his second straight AL Player of the Month honor.

Before the Yankees’ 5-4 loss to the Reds on Tuesday, Judge had a .316/.436/.708 average with 31 home runs and 82 RBI in 84 games.

Judge hit a solo home run, his 32nd of the season, in a loss to the Reds.

Before Tuesday’s game, he already led the league in home runs, RBI, batting average and OPS, among other categories.

This incredible streak made him the clear favorite to win his second AL MVP award.

After beating teammate Juan Soto to the top of the odds chart last month, Judge is priced at -270 to win the award, comfortably ahead of second-favorite Gunnar Henderson (+350).

According to FanGraphs, Judge is on pace to hit 59 homeruns, which would put him at 6-0, though that total includes his poor April.

If he can keep up anything like the pace he hit in May and June, we could see another drop in the AL single-season home run record.
