Xbox VALORANT servers are down

Xbox VALORANT servers are down

VALORANT Console has been thriving since the beta launched on June 14. Players have enjoyed the classic VALORANT formula on the new platform, and the game has built a dedicated player base. However, like any game’s beta, VALORANT Console is undergoing downtime to fix issues and may experience server congestion. As of July 2, 2024, VALORANT Console Xbox users are experiencing difficulties as the servers undergo downtime. Here’s everything we know about the situation.

VALORANT Xbox servers went down on July 2, 2024 between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM ET. At 2:42 PM ET, the VALORANT news account @ValorIntel reported that the VALORANT Xbox servers had gone down. There was no word on whether the downtime was planned as part of maintenance or a result of a hotfix/patch issue.

There is no set time for when the VALORANT Console Xbox servers will reopen. Very little information is available on the cause of the situation, and without any information it will be difficult to estimate when the servers will be back online. As of 3:15 PM EST, the servers have been down for over 45 minutes.

Until the shutdown is resolved, VALORANT Console players will not be able to play any VALORANT games. Players are also unable to log into their VALORANT Console accounts even on Microsoft and Xbox PC platforms. Some players were participating in ranked games when the Xbox VALORANT Console servers were shut down. We don’t know how Riot Games will handle these games being canceled in the middle of a match. Based on previous similar situations with VALORANT PC shutdowns, players can hope that their ELO ratings will not be affected.

Server downtime and maintenance are common for titles in beta. Hopefully, the Xbox VALORANT Console version will be back up and running as soon as possible so players can enjoy the ranked grind. Stay tuned for updates as the situation evolves and for more VALORANT esports news!
