Grand Island Man Arrested For Child Abuse After Child Suffered Possible Head Trauma | 1340 KGFW

GRAND ISLAND — A Grand Island man has been arrested after his 3-month-old baby suffered a possible head injury.

According to the Grand Island Police Department, officers were dispatched to CHI St. Francis in reference to a late report of abuse involving a three-month-old male child.

The infant was taken to Children’s Hospital in Omaha for further evaluation for a possible head injury.

GIPD later arrested Luis Pernia Mendoza for child abuse – no serious bodily injury – and booked him into the Hall County Jail.
