Firefighter Released from Hospital – Mid-Utah Radio

(Beaver, UT) — A firefighter who was injured while battling a wildfire in Beaver County has been released from the hospital. The Bureau of Land Management said Bonneville Hotshot Firefighter Daniel Burns was released Saturday after being struck by a tree that pinned him to the ground while battling the Little Twist Fire. He was able to leave the medical facility four days after sustaining his injuries. Officials noted that Burns still has a long road to recovery, which will now continue at the scene of duty. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help Burns and his family cover costs.
