Four IMO Assembly members suspended for alleged plot to remove from power

Four members of the Imo State Assembly were on Tuesday suspended by Speaker Chike Olemgbe.

The chairman accused them of planning to remove him from office.

The suspended members are Samuel Otuibe, Henry Agbasonu, Chidiebere Ogbunikpa and Dominic Ezerioha. The decision to suspend them was taken during a closed meeting.

The speaker also took away the committees that these members were working on. Some of the suspended members were present when the news was announced but declined to speak to reporters.
