Ottawa Skyhawks member seriously injured

Just 24 hours after a world-class spectacle at the Quinte International Air Show in Ottawa, a member of the Skyhawks team was seriously injured.

Following the 8-Wing airshow, the team headed to Ottawa where they took part in Canada Day celebrations on Monday.

The footage shows the MP making an emergency landing at around 3pm on Parliament Hill, in front of hundreds of onlookers.

The unnamed man was taken to hospital, where his condition is described as serious.

The Canadian Forces Parachute Team is based at CFB Trenton.
