How did Nani avoid frivolous episodes in Kalki 2898 AD?

Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD Nag is doing exceptionally well in the NA and Hindi markets, while Telugu is expected to break even. Next few days will give us a clear picture of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The thing that surprised everyone was that the director managed to get almost every actor he had a good relationship with or had worked with.

Kalki 2898 AD is full of unnecessary episodes and many wondered why when taking up a serious project like Kalki, there was a need to bring in these forced episodes like in the case of director Jathi Ratnalu, Anudeep, Faria Abdullah, and RGV.

If the plot had been more like a commercial film script, no one would have found fault with it, but has there ever been so many unnecessary episodes in an honestly made epic film for no reason?

Moreover, Nani is closer to the director and producers than most of the actors who have appeared in minor roles, but he has analysed the situation perfectly and avoided playing a frivolous cameo.

It is difficult in the film industry to say no to locking people up, but Nani somehow managed it and his decision surely turned out to be the right one as he would have gained nothing by doing a few cameos.
