You can’t keep a Proud Boy down.

Consider Daniel Goodwyn, a San Francisco web designer and proud member of an organization of young white men obsessed with violence. Now 34, Goodwyn was sentenced in 2023 to 60 days in jail and a year of supervised probation, set to end in August. The probation included monitoring of his online habits, which was suspended for a time after the decision was challenged. A federal judge I put it back in place this week.

Elsewhere, the Proud Boys are metastasizing into far-flung chapters, ostentatiously displaying their colors at Trump events and even running for local office.
