9-Year-Old Sings Tina Turner Classic on ‘America’s Got Talent’

Tuesday Episode (July 2) America’s got talent introduced viewers to an incredibly talented young person — 9-year-old Pranysqa Mishra from Tampa, Florida.

Pranysqi’s rousing performance of Tina Turner’s “River Deep, Mountain High” made a huge impression on the judges and audience alike, ultimately earning her the coveted Golden Button from judge Heidi Klum.

Before auditioning for Season 19, Pranysqa shared her passion for singing, which has been going on for as long as she can remember.

“I’ve always loved singing. It makes me feel happy. Even when I was four, I would pretend I had a microphone and sing as if I was singing for the whole world,” she gushed.

Pranysqa has admitted that her grandmother was her main inspiration and driving force behind her growing career, as well as her musical idols: Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston.

Though Pranysqa admitted to feeling a little nervous, especially before performing in front of the notoriously tough Simon Cowell, Pranysqa’s confidence was evident the moment she began singing in a confident voice that belied her youthful nature.

The judges were visibly stunned and looked at each other in disbelief as her powerful voice filled the audience.

“Oh my God, I didn’t expect this. We expect a lot of things, but I didn’t expect this,” Heidi Klum exclaimed.

Without hesitation, Klum pressed the Golden Buzzer, sending Pranysqa straight to the live performances. “I want you to call your grandma and tell her Heidi Klum pressed the Golden Buzzer for you,” she told the young singer.

When golden confetti rained down on Pranysqa, she began to cry tears of joy, clearly in shock at having won the award. golden honor. “My dream is coming true. I can’t believe it,” she said, reflecting on her grandmother’s prediction that she would one day perform on the big stage.

Pranysqi’s family joined her on stage in an emotional celebration, with tears of joy and hugs all around. Klum then helped Pranysqi call her grandmother to share the incredible news.

“You are absolutely amazing,” Heidi Klum told the tiny beauty after her performance.
