BAM Construction’s head in the north is leaving

Phillips began his career as a civil engineer, then as a subcontractor representative before joining BAM in 1989.

Nine years ago he was promoted to North East Regional Director for BAM Construction and last year he was promoted to North Regional General Manager when the North West and North East regions were combined as part of a streamlining exercise.

In his new combined role, he oversaw major projects across the region, including the Co-op Live facility in Manchester.

BAM said Phillips bid farewell with warm wishes for a long and fruitful career, and confirmed that recruitment for his successor is currently underway.
