A South Kohala Police officer was recently honored for his outstanding investigative skills in tracking down an armed and dangerous suspect wanted for a series of burglaries in Waikoloa Village earlier this year. The suspect was also charged with three outstanding warrants for violation of probation, with a total bail amount of $350,200.

Additionally, Officer Uresti’s investigative skills and persistent efforts led to the discovery of suspects in other thefts, vehicle burglaries, and vehicle thefts in the South Kohala area.
