Rainbow Six Siege Xbox servers are down

Rainbow Six Siege Xbox servers are down

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is iconic in the world of first-person shooters. The game is brutal and competitive with innovative and intense combat. It is one of the most popular console shooters to date, and its popularity only seems to be growing. As of June 2, 2024, Rainbow Six Siege has unfortunately been down on Xbox due to unforeseen server circumstances. The outage is part of a larger issue that affects all Xbox titles, including big names like Fortnite, XDefiant, VALORANT Console, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, Rocket League, and Overwatch. Here’s everything we know about the shutdown as it unfolds.

The Xbox Rainbow Six Siege servers were taken offline as part of a larger Xbox server issue between 2:00 PM ET and 3:00 PM ET on June 2, 2024. Other popular Xbox titles, including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, XDefiant, Fortnite, and VALORANT Console, were also affected. At 2:55 PM ET, the Xbox Support Twitter account wrote that it was “aware that some users have been disconnected from Xbox Live.” A further tweet followed at 4:08 PM ET, where @XboxSupport notified the community that their “investigation is taking longer than expected” and thanked them for their “patience and reports.”

At 5:49 PM EST, Xbox Support tweeted that it was “under investigation into issues impacting users’ ability to sign in to Xbox Live and services.” The @XboxSupport account thanked the community for their patience. Further updates will be provided as the situation evolves. As of 6:58 PM EST, the issue had been ongoing for over four hours.

While we have no idea when the Xbox servers will be back online, we can assume based on @XboxSupport’s update from 4:08 PM EST that the reopening may take longer than expected. It could take anywhere from a few hours to a day or more. The Xbox Rainbow Six Siege servers obviously cannot reopen until Xbox fixes the larger server issues.

@XboxSupport’s 5:59 PM EST update is no longer promising — it may take some time for the issues to be resolved. It looks like the server outages will take time to fix, and Rainbow Six Siege players may not be returning to their crazy wall-bangs and angular stares anytime soon. The server login issue has been classified as a “major outage” by the company, which is not a good sign.

Players can stay up to date with updates by following @XboxSupport on Twitter, or check the Xbox Live service status page for the latest information.

For now, Xbox users can’t sign in on their console. Additionally, the community can’t sign in to Xbox Live on Microsoft or PC platforms. Since players can’t sign in to Xbox Live, they won’t be able to play Rainbow Six Siege on Xbox until Xbox fixes the issue.

We have no idea when the Xbox maintenance will end – until then, players will have to make do and touch grass. Stay tuned for more updates as the situation develops. Also, stay tuned for more esports and Rainbow Six Seige news and updates!
