Emergency services at the scene of a serious crash involving a car and a HGV in Co Mayo

Emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious road traffic collision involving a car and a lorry in County Mayo.

The incident happened just before 6pm on the N24, between Foxford and Swinford.

It is understood a car and a truck collided on the road, which remains closed. At the time of writing, no injuries have been reported.

“Gardaí are currently at the scene of a road traffic collision which occurred this evening, July 2nd, on the N26 at Swinford, Co. Mayo,” a Garda statement read.

“We have no further information at this time.”
