Teenager seriously injured in brutal daytime attack in Dublin

A teenager was seriously injured in an attack in Dublin on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred at around 1pm in Poppintree Parade in Ballymun, Dublin 9.

A man in his late teens was seriously injured in the incident, with various reports saying a weapon was used in the attack. He has since been taken to the Mater Hospital.

“Gardaí attended the scene of an assault that occurred this afternoon, Tuesday 2nd July 2024, at approximately 1.00pm at Poppintree Parade in Ballymun,” a statement from Gardaí read. Extra.ie.

‘One man, aged in his late teens, was seriously injured and taken to the Mater Hospital for treatment. Enquiries are ongoing.’
