IOH Announces Appointment of Scott Strickland as Chief Operating Officer (COO)

SAN DIEGO, CA — July 1, 2024 — The Institutes of Health (“IOH”), a leading multidisciplinary workers’ compensation healthcare organization focused on patients with complex and chronic conditions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Scott Strickland as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

“We are thrilled to welcome Scott to the IOH family,” said Elic Anbar, co-founder and CEO of IOH. “Scott’s wealth of experience and proven track record will be invaluable assets as we continue to drive IOH’s success and innovation.”

To date, Elic Anbar has served as both Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Elic will continue to serve as Chief Executive Officer, allowing him time to address the growing needs of IOH’s management team and focus on opening future clinic locations in Anaheim and Los Angeles.

Scott is a seasoned leader with a history of success in a variety of healthcare organizations. It is worth noting that Scott’s healthcare journey began as a physical therapist, moving through various leadership roles with an unwavering commitment to excellence. This gives him a deep understanding of all aspects of an organization like ours, both clinical and managerial.

“The opportunity to join an organization at the forefront of evidence-based biopsychological medicine that makes a huge difference in the lives of every patient aligns with my moral compass. I am excited to help the organization grow and serve populations that will greatly benefit from the company’s medical model and approach to care,” Scott said.

With a background in driving operational excellence and growth, Scott joins IOH from Work Health Solutions where he served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Revenue Officer. Prior to that, Scott was promoted to Executive Officer and Senior Vice President of Therapy Operations at US HealthWorks where he managed a network of 221 locations across the United States.
