17-year-old who went missing seven weeks ago suddenly appears on someone’s live stream

You can see all sorts of things on live streams, but it’s rare for a missing teenager who disappeared almost seven weeks ago to suddenly show up.

But according to Troy Coleman’s family, that’s exactly what happened.

According to his family, who are frantically searching for him, the 17-year-old from Mt. Morris Township in the US state of Michigan has not been seen since May 17.

Due to the lack of leads in the investigation into his disappearance, Troy was presumed dead.

Unusually, he was allegedly spotted during a live stream hosted by popular Twitch streamer FaZe Lacy.

The content creator was reporting on his online platform about what he was doing in Miami with his buddy Clix to hundreds of thousands of his fans when suddenly a young man was spotted walking down the street, bare-chested and wearing bright green shorts.

The boy stops and chats with the streamers as they dine al fresco at a restaurant, sharing a few jokes before moving on to chat with people at another table.

Eventually the conversation comes to an end and the shirtless teenager walks away.

Lacy thought nothing more about the incident until he checked his email and learned that someone claiming to be the brother of the man who appeared in their Twitch stream had contacted him.

The man, who explained that he was Troy’s brother named Trent, informed the streamer that this was his missing family member.

The email read: “Hi, my name is Trent Coleman and my long lost little brother from Michigan was present at the Clix and Lacy broadcast in Miami.

“He was wearing green shorts and they were making fun of him, he doesn’t do drugs, he’s schizophrenic and he’s 17. If anyone can contact me about this I would be very grateful, he’s been missing for three months and his case has been referred to as a homicide case in Michigan.”

Lacy later shared a still image of what appears to be Troy from the video, as well as a screenshot of a message he received from Trent on X.

He wrote: “Yesterday on stream he approached me and Clix and now his family knows he’s alive and in Miami. I wasn’t sure if I should post this but I hope this helps his family find him in some way.”

Asked to clarify what he believed the email’s content suggested, Lacy told a social media user: “I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure they thought he was dead, but now his family knows he’s alive. The power of the internet is wild.”

Troy’s father, Weston Coleman, previously made a public appeal for help finding his son, who was last seen near the intersection of Pasadena Avenue and Lavelle Road in Mt. Morris Township, Townsquare Media reported.

He suspected that his son had boarded the bus and left the scene.

Weston said Troy was unarmed and did not pose a threat to the public, but explained the teen suffers from mental health issues and has hallucinations that require medication he does not have with him.

The 17-year-old was last seen wearing a black hoodie, grey sweatpants and white slip-on shoes.

Troy is approximately 193 cm tall, weighs between 75 and 82 kg, has blue eyes and brown hair.
