When we reviewed the Galaxy Watch 6, we noticed that it had some serious improvements over the 5, most notably in the increased processing power and RAM. This helps to make it more fluid, more efficient, and more responsive — and there’s a lot to scroll through here. This is a watch that can track everything from your sleep to your water intake, as well as all your sports activities. It also has a high heart rate alert and fall detection.

On the fitness side, you get body composition analysis (if that’s your thing) plus ECG, heart rate monitoring, and a new personalized heart rate zone feature for your workouts. Sleep monitoring is comprehensive, with Sleep Score Factor, which takes into account sleep time, cycles, wakefulness, and recovery metrics to help you really understand the quality of your sleep.

It’s all wrapped up in a sleek, slim design that looks sporty without screaming “sports watch,” and it also has decent battery life.

But it may not be the right smartwatch for everyone.

If you’re buying the Galaxy 6 smartwatch primarily for its sleep tracking feature, be careful: When we tested this fitness tracker, we couldn’t get more than a day out of it on a single charge, which was frustrating when we used it at night because it needed charging.

Price history: The Samsung Galaxy 6 was released last August and has spent most of its time hanging around its $299.99 list price on Amazon. It has briefly dropped to around $250 during other sales, but is now at its lowest point.

Review consensus: All reviewers agree that the Galaxy 6 is a really good smartwatch with some really cool features and some good improvements over previous models – like Samsung Wallet, which now allows for tickets and boarding passes on your wrist, as well as payment cards. However, reviewers also note that the battery life, while decent, could be better. The main downside noted by most reviewers is that the GPS accuracy when tracking runs or rides needs serious improvement.
