Yuen Long seafood restaurant suspended for 21 days

Yuen Long seafood restaurant Wing Loi Lau has been ordered to suspend operations for 21 days for violating the Food Business Regulations (FBR) by illegally expanding its business area.

The restaurant located in Shop No. 1 on the ground floor of Ying Cheung House at 21-23 Kau Yuk Road has been ordered to suspend operations from July 4 to 24.

According to a FEHD spokesperson, the restaurant was hit with four convictions in December, with a total fine of HK$28,500.

Additionally, 90 penalty points accumulated by the restaurant led to the suspension of operations for periods of 7 and 14 days, respectively.

The spokesman reminded that licenses may be suspended or cancelled if catering establishment license holders fail to comply with the FBR and other relevant regulations.
