Police said four people involved in a fatal head-on collision last week on Highway 1 in West Vancouver, British Columbia, were international students from India.

The West Vancouver Police Department reported that a vehicle traveling eastbound in the westbound lane near Westport Road collided head-on with another vehicle at approximately 11:40 p.m. PST on June 26.

Police said there were four men in the westbound vehicle, all Indian citizens on temporary student visas; two of them, aged 20 and 21, were killed.

Police said the other two, aged 19 and 20, suffered serious injuries.

The only passenger in the eastbound vehicle in the westbound lanes was a 26-year-old woman, also a foreigner, according to police. No information was released on the woman’s condition.
