Seton Hall welcomes Yuanrong Gao, new advisor for international students.

The Office of International Programs is pleased to introduce Yuanrong Gao, our dedicated International Student Advisor, who brings a wealth of experience and a compassionate approach to supporting our international student community. Yuanrong’s journey began as an international student who came to the United States to pursue her master’s degree at Adelphi University. This personal experience ignited a passion for helping other international students navigate the complexities of studying abroad. After more than a decade of teaching and advising in K-12 settings, Yuanrong has now transitioned into higher education, fulfilling a long-cherished aspiration.

“As we continue to expand Seton Hall’s global presence, the Office of International Programs remains committed to providing exceptional support to our international students. We are pleased to welcome Yuanrong Gao to our advisory team,” said Mary Kate Naatus, Ph.D., associate vice provost and dean of continuing education and professional studies. “Her unique perspective as an international student gives her invaluable insight and empathy.”

In her role, Yuanrong provides comprehensive support and advice on a wide range of issues including employment, visas, enrollment and travel. Her deep understanding of the challenges faced by international students allows her to offer empathetic and personalized guidance, ensuring each student has the support they need to succeed both academically and in their personal lives.

Outside of her professional life, Yuanrong is a devoted pet owner, a cat and a dog. She is also an avid traveler, constantly seeking out new experiences and cultures to enrich her understanding of the world.
