“As drug crime rates continue to rise across the country, here in Livingston Parish we are taking a proactive approach. In these specific cases, LPSO detectives had to prove that an individual was distributing or administering a specific controlled dangerous substance (CDS) that took someone’s life. That’s not easy. But in these first cases for Livingston Parish, we have the evidence required to move forward,” said Sheriff Jason Ard.

Freeze and Brown are currently being held at the Livingston Parish Detention Center, while Young was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison, officials added.
