Amy Robach spoke about a memorable 4th of July when she was a teenager.

Speaking of the latest episode Amy and T.J. podcast, the TV host took a trip down memory lane and revealed, “All of those traditions kind of fell through because of one Fourth of July when I was 14. It’s really serious.”

Shen revealed that the holiday reminds her of the day her uncle was struck by lightning while standing “under a tree”, adding: “My parents were struck by lightning while they were standing next to him, and he just collapsed. My parents, my mom and dad, were seriously injured. They were in the hospital for weeks.”

She also shared that “her mom was in the hospital for weeks. My dad was in the ICU, but their sneakers fell off their feet.”

“We had to cut their clothes off. My father had to be given CPR. And my uncle Jack eventually died,” she also shared with fans, issuing a warning that “yes, lightning kills.”

Before concluding her speech, she noted, “The Fourth of July is one of those holidays where everyone is out and about, and there’s usually a storm.”
