Five men arrested as police launch investigation into mysterious death of woman found in bungalow

FIVE men have been arrested after a woman’s body was found in a house where police are investigating her death.

Officers made the gruesome discovery after receiving a report of concern about a woman at an address on Radiant Road in Thurncourt, Leicester, at 6am yesterday (Thursday).

She was pronounced dead at the scene and five men aged 35, 39, 39, 48 and 48 were arrested and remain in custody where they are being questioned by detectives.

The woman was in her 50s. Police declined to provide further information about the arrests.

Leicestershire Police have not revealed what charges the men were arrested on. Enquiries are ongoing.

A police spokesman said: “Officers are continuing their enquiries following the body of a woman found in a bungalow in Thurncourt.

“Yesterday (7 April) shortly after 6am police were called to an address on Radiant Road, Thurncourt in response to a report of a woman reporting a concern.

“Officers arrived at the scene and found the body of a woman in the bungalow.

“Five men aged 35, 39, 39, 48 and 48 have been arrested as part of the investigation and remain in custody.

“An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the woman’s death. Officers remain at the scene.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident 91 of 4 July.”
